This is “Lift,” the final track from our new album. The lyrics were inspired by the story of Peggy Jahn, who survived COVID-19 despite spending 25 days on a ventilator. Peggy, from Marysville, WA, told the Everett Herald that countless people were responsible for keeping her alive during her 42 days in the hospital, from doctors and nurses to the laundry staff. In another interview, she called medical workers her heroes for enduring long hours and exhaustion during the pandemic. We admire Peggy for embracing hope and gratitude.
