Liar, Liar, is a song we wrote about political dishonesty, fear mongering and the disconnect between government figures and the public. It was inspired by the stress felt during and after the election and the general outlook that people around us had towards everything. We wanted to voice that frustration musically and emotionally with jaded grooves, verses and a hard hitting chorus.
In the music video, we decided we wanted to make an entertaining story where we played the bad guys manipulating a crowd of people. The mask motif is used throughout the video to portray hiding one’s identity among the crowd, only revealing their true faces when their subjects aren’t aware; which is represented by them freezing. The music video was directed by Jacob Hansen.
